We've arranged a civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on science and technology. We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster. We might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later this combustible mixture of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces.

Swing a song?

First things first, I really hate some mainstream music. Yeah, that's right I didn't say all because some genres have some cool stuff going right now, but why not check out something cool that's different right? Well, you might already like this if you're into great melody lines, thought provoking lyrics that keep things interesting, elements of jazz and fusion from other genres including rock, country, and ska, or just whatever. This is this band's first album out commercially and it's pretty sick and while it brings elements of all different music, it stays within its boundaries and knows how far to feel for those things. This is well kept and the fusion never becomes overbearing such as 5 minute jazz improv solos and other obnoxious stuff that is typical of this kind of album. Anyway, they are all talented musicians in this band, Nonsense Syllables, and the soloing and trading is kept fresh through each song without any repetition; it has good chord structure, and clean recording throughout. "Winter of Reform" on the album is great to hear because the singer, Kevin Miller, originally wrote that for his own album Before It Gets Dark. Hearing this take of it with actual horn parts and new twists is nice. You can also find him on Bandcamp and Facebook. So go to their Bandcamp and listen to the cd its great and if you like it,  contact them for a copy.
